Your comfort is our priority
Our focus is on your overall well being and helping you achieve optimal health and aesthetics. We provide state-of-the-art dental care in a comfortable setting, at times convenient to your schedule.
The overarching aim of our practice has always been to provide quality dental care to Sydenham’s growing community. Established in 1996 as a single room at Sydenham Medical Centre, our family dental clinic has been operating for over 20 years and has grown into its own independent dental practice offering a wide variety of services.
We offer treatment options to improve the appearance of your teeth, gums, bite and overall smile. The team at our family dental surgery provide gentle dentistry and preventative orthodontic treatments for problems related to jaw growth and development, including early children’s development. Our experienced kid’s dentists are highly skilled and patient when it comes to providing ongoing dental care like braces for children and young people.
Our orthodontically trained dental practitioners can correct dental misalignment, overcrowding or problematic development with treatments.
We provide alternative treatment options to jaw surgery and the removal of permanent teeth with orthodontics.
A common misconception is that a lot of orthodontic treatments are age-restricted but the reality is your teeth are constantly moving, even in adulthood. Braces and orthodontics are not only a feature of children’s dentistry, but many adult patients can easily receive orthodontic corrective care which includes braces.
Our cosmetic dentists offer a number of aesthetic treatments to enhance your smile including the following.
Teeth Whitening : We provide a rapid and instant in-office teeth whitening service which can give you the bright smile that you have been looking for in just 90 minutes. We also provide the more traditional at home bleaching using a custom mouth tray and a mild whitening gel which you can wear from the comfort of your home. Ongoing checkups are highly recommended as only professional supervision will ensure the process is safe and effective.
Dental implants : Replace missing teeth, or even an entire edentulous jaw, with a ceramic or porcelain replacement tooth that is made to match your existing teeth. Can be used for a single missing tooth or entire rows as a common alternative to dentures. We provide implant secured dentures so that you can say goodbye to your loose dentures and eat more efficiently. There are some selective medical requirements to determine candidates for dental implants.
We aim to provide a warm and inviting environment at our family dental surgery. Our compassionate team take an understanding towards all patients in their care and we take gentle dentistry approaches where we can.
We know that some patients, especially younger children sometimes feel nervous when visiting the dentist so we do our best to provide a comforting environment with high-quality treatment and consultation in order to prevent the need for dental procedures in the future.
For more invasive procedures, to ensure you are completely relaxed we do have Penthrox sedation available at our dental practice. Penthrox has been successfully used in dental health care for many years and is a safe and immediate pain relief medication, which is inhaled, removing the anxiety some patients have towards injections and dental procedures
We are proud to have such a diverse team of dedicated professionals at our family dentist. Our general dentists and dental assistants have many decades of combined experience and specialise in a number of different forms of dentistry, so that we can provide patients of all walks of life with a comprehensive range of dental health treatment, including the following.
